Anna Shelat
Yoga Teacher
Certified Yoga Instructor
At SatYog, we believe that true wellbeing begins by calming the nervous system, strengthening the body, and cultivating greater awareness. Our approach brings together authentic yogic wisdom with practical, evidence-informed wellbeing practices to support healthier bodies, calmer minds, and more meaningful lives.
SatYog was co-founded by Anna Shelat, a Perth-based Certified Yoga and Meditation Teacher and registered member of Yoga Australia. Anna has completed more than 750 hours of professional yoga and meditation training, including 500 hours of Yoga Teacher Training at Kookaburra Yoga, Perth (2023), a further 200-hour Meditation and Yoga Nidra Teacher Training (2025), and specialised Yin Yoga training, further enriching her ability to guide students towards deep relaxation, improved mobility, and nervous system restoration.
Anna also holds First Aid certification, professional insurance, and is committed to maintaining the highest professional standards in teaching and client care.
Since 2023, Anna has been teaching regular community yoga classes across Perth and has facilitated wellbeing programs for community organisations, workplaces, and local councils, including sessions delivered during Mental Health Awareness Week. Her teaching integrates classical yogic philosophy with modern, evidence-informed approaches to support physical health, emotional resilience, stress reduction, healthy ageing, and mindful living.
Her sessions combine yoga, meditation, breathwork, Yoga Nidra, mantra, laughter yoga, and immersive sound healing to create experiences that are accessible, inclusive, and deeply restorative. Every class is thoughtfully designed to help people move with confidence, breathe with awareness, reduce stress, improve mobility, cultivate resilience, and reconnect with themselves.
Anna's commitment to sharing the benefits of yoga extends beyond the classroom. In 2025, she was interviewed by SBS Gujarati Radio on the occasion of International Yoga Day, where she spoke about the value of yoga and meditation in supporting healthier, more balanced lives.
Whether someone joins SatYog for better sleep, healthy ageing, emotional wellbeing, workplace wellness, personal growth, or simply to experience greater calm in everyday life, our goal is to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where every individual feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Jay Vyas
Artist
Meditative Artist | Certified Yoga Instructor
At SatYog, we believe that creativity and mindfulness naturally complement one another. Through both art and yoga, Jay encourages people to slow down, become fully present, and experience greater inner awareness.
Jay Vyas is a Perth-based emerging artist and Certified Yoga Teacher, having completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training. Alongside his yoga practice, he is a self-taught artist who works exclusively with black pigment pen, using a single medium to create intricate, expressive artworks that invite reflection, imagination, and mindfulness.
Inspired by the quiet beauty of nature and the richness of cultural traditions, Jay's detailed monochromatic drawings encourage viewers to bring their own perceptions and personal experiences into each piece. His minimalist approach demonstrates how simplicity can become a powerful pathway to creativity, focus, and inner stillness.
Originally from Gujarat, India, Jay began his artistic journey alongside fellow artists before moving to Sydney in 2005 and later settling in Perth in 2008. Embracing lifelong learning, he has developed his artistic skills through online education, social media, and AI-assisted creative tools, continually refining his unique artistic voice.
Jay's work has been exhibited at several respected exhibitions, including the Kelmscott Agricultural Show, Armadale Arts Festival, Belmont Art Awards, the ASA Annual Art Award Exhibition, and the Diwali Mela Art Exhibition presented by the Indian Society of Western Australia. He is also a proud member of the Armadale Society of Artists.
At SatYog, Jay combines his passion for mindful creativity with his yoga training to facilitate meditative art experiences that encourage relaxation, concentration, self-expression, and emotional wellbeing. His workshops provide a welcoming and supportive space where participants of all skill levels can explore creativity without judgement, discovering the calming and restorative benefits of both art and mindful awareness.
